Cross-Author Promotion
Written by David on February 3rd, 2009Podcasting is the focus here, but the real lesson is what can be achieved when authors form a community and help to promote each other’s work. Of course, for every J.C. Hutchins, there are a thousand authors whose work never finds any kind of significant readership (whether with a publisher or not). But such cooperation in this case did allow, presumably, the better content to bypass the gatekeepers and go directly to the readers (or in this case, listeners).

Building a community is an absolute necessity for indie writers.
And MoJo…I’m having the same trouble. Not in saying “fuck”, which I spew forth each day with reckless abandon, but in HATING the sound of my voice. It doesn’t seem to sound as good out loud as it does in my head.

And don’t forget the magical Scott Sigler. You have to pay homage to him or he and the evil queen will hunt you down when they go to destroy the world later.
